Laurie Kilmartin
with Norman Wilkerson
and David James
Laurie Kilmartin made it to the top ten in this year's season of NBC's Last Comic Standing and is only slightly bitter. She is ready to play the Velv!
You may have seen her on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tough Crown, the Late Late Show, Comedy Central and Showtime. She appeared as a talking head on The Rachel Maddow Show, Fox 'n Friends, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, VH1's Best Week Ever and Oprah. Laurie also had her ass handed to her on Hannity and Colmes. She has written for The Bonnie Hunt Show, Craig Ferguson, Adam Carolla and Colin Quinn. Laurie was a big hit at the Montreal, Aspen and Edinburgh comedy Festivals. After her performance at Edinburgh, the Guardian UK said, "She's the best comedian we've seen so far. She throws away lines most comedians would die for." What's So Funny Blog wrote about her Last Comic Standing performance, "Kilmartin had some good and sick baby material. We're used to the male perspective... but it's even sicker when the nurturing mother does it. Sick in a good way. Funny stuff."
Her CD, Five Minutes to Myself, was named one of the top ten comedy CDs of 2009. Laurie lives with her accidental son in Los Angeles.
